Bessie Phillips came to our home from Cookeville Regional Medical Center on February 23, 2017. Bessie was recovering from the flu, which had left her very weak and struggling to do things on her own. Bessie needed our help to regain her strength so she could return home.
Bessie was happy to be here, she stayed busy with fun activities such as bingo, sing-alongs and much more! Every day she ate lunch in the dining room and visited with her new friends. She enjoyed the bistro because they always made her favorite foods.
Bessie worked hard in therapy every day. Our physical and occupational therapy teams worked on improving her strength and she was able to practice cooking with one of our therapists.
On May 11, 2017 all of Bessie’s hard work paid off, and she was able to return home.
She had these kind words to say about her stay:
“Thank you for helping me get back on my feet. Everyone at Signature HealthCARE of Putnam has been so good to me. I had a lot of fun while I was here. There is always something to do. The activities department does a wonderful job keeping everyone active. I have made a lot of friends during my stay, I am going to miss them! This is a wonderful place, I wouldn’t choose anywhere else!â€
