“You know, I don’t believe I have ever seen a zebra,” said Nettie Hamilton, a resident at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County. “Well, we better fix that!” said Quality of Life Director Shelley West.
And fix it, she did. Residents at the Algood, Tenn. facility were treated to a visit from Maynard & Son’s Petting Zoo . They enjoyed an afternoon of petting and feeding several animals, including a baby cow, a zebra, a llama, and goats.
The residents relaxed in the shade of a canopy, sipped fruity drinks, and watched the animals graze on their lawn. “This was a very good day!” exclaimed Nettie.
